The Maricopa Women in Business organization is holding a fashion show Aug. 23 in an attempt to raise money for scholarships.
Maricopa Women in Business is a nonprofit group whose mission is to support the Maricopa community through group volunteerism and community service.
One way the organization does this is by awarding scholarships to Maricopa female high school seniors. Last year the organization awarded two $1,000 scholarships to graduating female students.
Participating in the show will be local Maricopans with a special guest DJ from the Tempe Improv.
The fashion show will be held in the Province Ballroom, 20942 N. Province Way. The show will start at noon and last until 3:00 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Included in the price of the ticket is a lunch prepared by a gourmet chef. Besides the standard tickets sponsorship packages are available ranging in price from $250 to $1,000.
In addition to the show there will be more than $2,000 in raffles with tickets for the raffles costing $1 each.
