Byers brothers painting the town

Painting the city was the goal of Maricopa residents Rob Byers and Russ Byers when they moved to Maricopa nearly four years ago from Las Vegas.

Never did they think they would actually be doing it.

The brothers and owners of Arizona Contract Painting recently secured a contract with the city of Maricopa to paint the structures at Pacana Park.

“When we thought we would be painting the city, we envisioned homes and businesses, not the city itself,” Russ said.

The brothers started their painting company in March 2005. At the time they were the only licensed painters in town and that trend continues to this day.

“When we first got here, we saw a community that had a great need for painters, and we happened to run a painting company in Vegas,” Russ said.

The company currently consists of eight employees and two paint crews, but the brothers have larger plans. “We would like to expand to have at least four crews,” Russ said.

The brother’s specialize in interior and exterior painting, staining, concrete epoxies and refinishing.

“Both Rob and I live in the community, and we take great pride in the work we do,” Russ said.
