City Council Citizens’ Forum Postponed

44

For scheduling reasons, Maricopa City Council and staff have postponed the City Council Citizens’ Forum originally set for June 2.

A small attendee response rate, primarily due to summer vacation schedules and other conflicts, has prompted this decision. The event will be rescheduled for early to mid-September, when more residents and other participants are able to be present and take part in the event.

Postponement of this date will also allow Maricopa to hold the forum at the newly constructed Global Water Center in Maricopa, the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) utility facility in Pinal County and the first commercial building in Arizona to use recycled water to flush toilets.

As always, residents are invited and encouraged to visit City Hall, and contact staff and Council, with any questions or items for discussion.
