The city of Maricopa issued business licenses to six companies in the past week.
Permits are necessary for all businesses headquartered locally or outside of Maricopa to do business within city limits, and are valid for one year.
Five of the permits were for local companies and one was for a Valley-based venture.
The local companies receiving permits were Wellness Addiction, Alakea Enterprises, Thara Tenney Mary Kay Consultant, Elite Auto Recovery LLC and Bulldogg Legal Document Services LLC.
The company outside Maricopa receiving a permit was Jared Pope Properties.
