City to announce intent to offer tax incentive, faces deadline to report intent to raise property tax

    The City Council will announce on Tuesday its intent to enter into a retail development tax incentive agreement during its regular meeting at 6 p.m. at Global Water Resources.

    Tuesday is also the deadline for the city to announce its intent to the Pinal County assessor if it wishes to impose a 2 percent increase on primary property taxes on homes in Maricopa. The Council announced its intent to do so June 17 at its last regular meeting (see “City has until July 1 to announce intent to raise property tax rate”).
