Community of Hope reaching out to Maricopa

113

Maricopa has a wide variety of churches; one of them is Community of Hope.

Community of Hope opened in September 2005 with the goal of spreading the word and actions of Christ to the booming city of Maricopa.

The church family has been involved in several community activities, including the Living Nativity, the Easter Eggstravaganza and Kidz Zones at various city events. They will be sponsoring the children’s bike parade at Founders Day next week.

The church is non-denominational.

While they are currently in the process of building a church and community center, services are being held at Pima Butte Elementary School.

“Once our new center is open, it will provide space for the people of Maricopa to use all week long,” said Rusty Akers, pastor for the congregation.
