Construction to begin Monday on Barnes Road in the Hidden Valley Area

HIDDEN VALLEY- Pinal County Department of Public Works today announced that construction for a road improvement project will begin Monday on Barnes Road between Sage Street and Warren Road.

Public Works officials said this two-mile segment of Barnes Road will be closed to through traffic until September with local access being maintained.

Rummel Construction, Inc., a private construction contractor, was recently hired to complete the construction work. The new roadway will feature two lanes, concrete erosion protection, and an improved surface.

Project construction was authorized by Pinal County Board of Supervisors and funded by revenues from Pinal County Transportation Excise Tax. The construction project will be managed, administered and inspected by Pinal County forces.
