Cub Scout Pack 983 celebrates 100 years of scouting

Last month, on Feb. 20, Cub Scout Pack 983 celebrated 100 years of scouting at its annual Blue and Gold celebration. 

Maricopa Mayor Anthony Smith, Our Lady of Grace’s Father Melchizedek and Chuck Morene, Knights of Columbus Grand Knight for Council 13895, attended the event along with the Cub Scouts and their parents.

The celebration included a father and son bakeoff, as well as the lighting of 100 candles to recognize the 100 years of scouting, an historic event.
