Early afternoon accident involves 4 cars

An early afternoon accident involving several cars on SR 347 North in front of the entrance to Rancho El Dorado sent two people to the hospital.

According to Sgt. Dan Brown of the Maricopa Police Department, four cars were involved and three had to be towed from the scene of the accident, which occurred around 1:20 p.m.

A car reportedly trying to make a left onto Rancho El Dorado Parkway turned in front of another vehicle with two occupants in it. The turning car was T-boned, and two vehicles stopped at the light coming out of Rancho El Dorado were also impacted. There were reportedly no major injuries.

According to Brown, all occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

The Maricopa Police Department is handling the investigation.
