Every vote counts!

One highly influential group that represents 20 percent of the state’s population can make a significant impact on the outcome of an election.

Who is this group? Arizonans with disabilities.

As the executive directors of disability organizations in the state of Arizona, we have seen the impact voting or failure to vote can have on our community and nation. One of the best ways you can affect change in our state is to get out and vote.

We encourage you to seek information before entering the polls to make sure you are voting in favor of candidates and programs that support the independence and economic self-sufficiency of people with disabilities. After all, chances are likely that even if you don’t have a disability, you know someone that does.

Arizona’s primary election is August 24. This is your opportunity to decide who will represent you locally and statewide. Use it!

Sincerely,
Sherri Collins, Executive Director, Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing; Phil Pangrazio, Executive Director, Arizona Bridge to Independent Living
