Federal agents raided a Villages home and arrested a man Wednesday afternoon in relation to an attempted murder investigation, according to a Deputy U.S. Marshal.

The U.S. Marshals Service and Pinal County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant at a home near North Marquez Drive and West Caven Drive just before p.m. Wednesday, according to PCSO spokesperson Lauren Reimer.

Demetrius Hannah, 40, was arrested on a federal warrant out of California for attempted homicide, Reimer confirmed.

U.S. Marshals “needed a SWAT response,” in which PCSO responded, Deputy U.S. Marshal Matthew Tate told InMaricopa.

One neighbor, Mike Rea, reported flash bangs were used when law enforcement entered the home.

There was a shelter-in-place order issued for the surrounding house for about 30 minutes, according to Reimer.

Hannah was arraigned this week and remains in the Pinal County jail on a $2 million bond. A judge Feb. 9 will decide whether to extradite him back to California.
