A hot and dry week lies ahead for Maricopa, and the forecast again includes an excessive heat warning and an air-quality advisory.

According to the National Weather Service, the heat warning remains in place through 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Today is expected to be sunny and very hot, with highs from 113 to 118 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight, with lows of 80-90 degrees. The wind will be 10-15 mph.

Tuesday, look for partly sunny skies and high temperatures from 108 to 113. The overnight low will be 76-86 under mostly clear skies.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Ozone High Pollution Advisory for the greater Phoenix area for today and Tuesday. That means the weather conditions combined with existing ozone levels are expected to result in local maximum eight-hour ozone concentrations that pose a health risk.

Wednesday could be just a touch warmer. The predicted highs range from 108 to 114 with mostly sunny skies. The nighttime lows will range from the mid-70s to the mid-80s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 113. Overnight, skies will be mostly clear, and the temperature low range will again be mid-70s to mid-80s.

Friday will be most sunny and hot, with predicted highs 107-112. The nighttime low will be around 80 degrees.

Next weekend brings more of the same, according to the forecast at this time.
