Girl Scouts give cookie money to the dogs

Girl Scout Troop 2216, along with troop leader Elizabeth Huskey, met in May with Kimberly Diedrich from Pet Social Worker to work on a Community Take Action Project with part of the troop’s cookie money proceeds.

The Scouts prepared goodie doggie bags to give new rescue dogs as the animals are brought in to be fostered.

“All of our Girl Scouts really enjoyed putting together this project and working on decorating the bags to touch the lives of a sad dog somewhere and make him or her feel special,” Huskey said.
