Global Water Resources responds to Maricopa water pipe break

A repair crew with Global Water Resources was responding to an apparent water line break on Hogenes Boulevard and Barbara Lane around 9 a.m. today.

Water was surfacing intermittently on the road through a crack and manhole cover, then flowing down the street.

The water smelled like sewage, an InMaricopa reporter on the scene said.

“We don’t have any idea yet what’s going on,” said Global customer service representative Yamilth Burruel.
