Two Maricopa food establishments received “satisfactory” ratings from the Pinal County Health Services District during September inspections. Eighty-five percent of local businesses inspected received an “excellent” rating.
A satisfactory score means violations were fixed while inspectors were on site. An excellent rating means no violations were found.
Great Wall Chinese Cuisine and 7 Java Street received satisfactory marks. 7 Java Street, a coffee shop, opened Sept. 24.
The coffee shop’s violations mainly concerned food storage. Great Wall Chinese Cuisine’s violations related to food storage and employee attire.
Those that received excellent marks were Walmart (Deli), Papago Cantina, Sunrise Cafe, The Duke at Rancho El Dorado, Penascos Mexican Restaurant, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, Say Sushi, Honeycutt Coffee, Taco Bell, Pepe's Taco Shoppe, Panda Express, Native New Yorker and Yogurt Jungle.
