Who are you?

I am the member of a number of distinguished family trees, including those of President Abraham Lincoln and the Great German composer Richard Wagner. I am characterized by his honesty, easy going nature, hard work and intelligence.

Born Jan. 1, 1960 and raised in Yankton, South Dakota, I am of mixed heritage – African American, Native American and European American. His adopted parents – mother, LaDeane, a church secretary, and father, Bill, a postal worker – provided me and my older sister with a lower middle class upbringing and they were always dodging bullets due to my brown skin.

I am graduate of the University of Minnesota with degrees in Mathematics and Economics.

I am fluent in Spanish and has lived in both Mexico and South East Asia, experiences which have given me a deep understanding of the global economy.

What is one thing people don’t know about you?

How much I know about the economic crisis and how to get the economy rolling again. As well, a good understanding of current events placed in a historical context in the history of economics. That is, Imperialism has turned on Capitalism in the history of economics. Understanding this historical perspective helps tremendously in making better decisions.

Why are you the best candidate for the position?

I have an excellent understanding of why our economic crisis persists which leads to practical solutions. By increasing business competition between the US and Mexico alone will produce $32.1 billion in economic stimulus annually for the US and nearly $2 billion in economic stimulus annually for Arizona – which means getting our middle class back, increased tax revenue without raising taxes, brings back some manufacturing jobs and stops illegal immigration.

I have international experience which is necessary to address our US economic problems and our illegal immigration problem. Living 5 years in Mexico with a broad range of experiences has provided me with a much deeper understanding of the problems on the border as it relates to border security.

I am an Independent which means I will not be forced by any political party or special interests to serve their needs over the district and the needs of the country.

All these combined mean that I have the opportunity to deliver to the people.

What’s your favorite food?

I enjoy Mexican food, a good Alfredo sauce with pasta and good seafood.

Why are you running for office?

The economy.

Who is the first person you call if victorious?

Really do not know.

If you could invite 3 people to join you for dinner who would they be?

The dead ones I do not want around the dinner table. So I will invite my wife and two boys.

What have you learned on the campaign trail?

Combined with previous knowledge about voter fraud, ballot security, failed two party system, etc. I have learned that the Democratic Process is at peril. Except for a few locations, many places will not let you collect signatures – managers need to check with corporate in some far away land. They all say no and some will even chase you away with the police.

Consultants try to belly up to the money trough and are not too concerned about helping you in the end. They also start you down the road of being a puppet by telling you what to say to voters. I do not use any consultants.

Raising too much money from supporters creates a problem when it comes to following a budget. Gives you a distorted view of decisions and what needs to be done. Helps you lose touch with reality when it comes to fiscal matters.

What is the oldest thing in your closet and why haven’t you thrown it away?

An old worn-out belt – it was the last gift my father bought me and he always did a good job of finding me a good belt.

What are the three most pressing issues facing your constituents and how do you address those issues?

1. Economy – For starters, this is accomplished by introducing business competition, in international trade between the US and Mexico, in markets where some companies make from 40% to 60% net profits and have large market share. This will produce $32.1 billion in economic stimulus annually for the US and about $2 billion in economic stimulus annually for Arizona. This translates into bringing back the middle class, jobs, consumer confidence, stopping illegal immigration and producing higher tax revenues without raising taxes for both state and federal governments. Higher tax revenue means money for public safety and education at the state level and protecting Social Security and getting out of debt at the federal level to name a few. The same thing that is causing the economic crisis is also causing illegal immigration. Fix the economy and this stops illegal immigration.

2. Growth of Government – There has been some steps taken by the Obama Administration to take a look at the budget, but a much broader plan needs to be implemented to prevent people from abusing the system – be it food stamp recipients who do not qualify and the stores that knowingly take the food stamps from people that don’t need them to government contractors who take advantage of the system – also known as government waste and fraud.

3. Energy Independence – In our district we have a wonderful canal system used for irrigation that can be used to produce hydro-electric power. Waste treatment plants in all municipalities can add one or two more steps in the waste treatment process to capture the methane gas for consumer us. Natural gas can be used for public transportation vehicles. Change building regulations for the construction of more energy efficient homes. Using more solar power and advancing the development of supercritical fluids. Help nurture alternative energy incubators through our Universities and Colleges as way to make sure innovation gets to the market as well as helping Universities and Colleges tap into additional funding streams of revenue to keep tuition costs lower and to keep good faculty on board. This also takes the pressure off the state budget.

How did you get involved in politics?

Went out and started collecting signatures with some friends.

What separates you from your opponent)?

They truly do not know about the economy and can not generate billions of dollars in economic stimuli from the market place. This means they can neither provide meaningful job creation nor can they reasonably support any government program like Social Security, education or public safety with any success.

They are inside a party and even with the best of intentions a Republican and a Democrat will need to follow the party line.

I do not have to answer to the party or special interests. I can truly represent the people of the district and be a better decision maker when the matters affecting our country. I can work to accomplish goals that benefit all of us.

What is the best advice you ever received?

My mother and father told me to get my education. With this economic crisis I now know what they were referring to. My education has allowed me to keep food on the table.

One afternoon my father told me – Son always be honest and a hard worker. I have always adhered to these principles. But unknown to my father (adoptive) or myself I had already been predisposed to what I call the honesty gene. Later in life, after finding my birth mother I found out that I am part of President Abraham Lincoln’s family tree. Honesty is a good policy and there is nothing better than good work ethic.
