The campaign of Democratic state Senate candidate Jo Holt is sponsoring a bus ride to the state Capitol Monday for a full-day trip focused on public education.

Holt is running in Legislative District 11.

Participants will travel to the state Capitol in Phoenix to meet with legislators to discuss the state’s public education system, attend a House Education Committee meeting and other possible activities, according to a press release and itinerary from the Holt for AZ Senate campaign.

A bus will leave from the town of Marana and make a stop in the city of Maricopa before heading to Phoenix. The bus will leave Marana at 10 a.m. from a park and ride at Cortaro Road and Interstate 10 near a McDonalds. It is scheduled to stop in Maricopa at 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Fry’s, 20797 N.
