The Maricopa Lions Club accepted the challenge to design and build storage cubicles in the Against Abuse women’s shelter facility.

These cubes will be used to store each child’s toys and games as well as many other items.  Although it only took three days (Nov. 14-16) to paint and build, a lot of time was spent designing and buying the necessary materials.

“It is the goal of the Lions Club to provide support as needed throughout the city of Maricopa and it was our pleasure to do this one,” project chairman Dave Bock said. “A total of 13 Lion members spent 107 hours to accomplish this challenge.”
