A busted fire sprinkler pipe flooded a local plumbing shop this afternoon.

The pipe leaked at the Maricopa Business Center on West Honeycutt Road near John Wayne Parkway and flooded My Maricopa Plumber this afternoon.

At about 1 p.m., Maricopa Fire and Medical Department responded to the building, where they worked quickly to turn off the leaking pipes.

A “pinhole” leak had dripped for an unknown amount of time, an employee said, before water built up on top of a tarp in the ceiling.

Water began spilling from the tarp and through the ceiling.
