Maricopa Police Department arrested a man accused of bloodying a woman while driving last week.
Cops arrested 61-year-old Willie A. Jackson after they found the woman bleeding from her head, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.
Police responded to West Sage Brush Drive in Alterra last Tuesday after a neighbor heard screams for help coming from a car driving by.
Officers found the pair at a home on that street around 4:30 p.m. Jackson kicked officers as they tried to arrest him, according to the police report.
The woman was bleeding from the side of her head, according to MPD. She said Jackson punched her repeatedly in the head. Police noted Jackson’s knuckles were swollen, and he had blood on his hands and pants.
Jackson does not have a driver’s license. He also has a lengthy record of domestic violence convictions in the last seven years.
Jackson was booked into the Pinal County jail on charges of assault, disorderly conduct and aggravated domestic violence due to his prior convictions. He was also charged with resisting arrest and driving on a revoked license.
