The Pinal County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that a man found dead in a local sports bar earlier this month died of alcohol poisoning.

Shawn Black, 42, died of acute alcohol intoxication Feb. 3, according to PCMEO.

First responders found his body at The Roost just before 9 a.m. that day after receiving a report of a man who was unresponsive and not breathing.

According to Shawn Black’s Facebook page, he was an employee at the restaurant. The restaurant did not respond to a request for comment.
