Rep. Smith I hope this email finds you well,

Thank you for your quick response to my email, the mayor had expressed your regrets in being unable to attend the council meeting. As I mentioned in my email, thank you once again for your (and Rep. Kwasman) support in the Global Water and TPT issues.

Thank you for the detailed explanation on the foreclosure bill; I repeat what I had originally stated … this will help a few. I do believe that this is yet “more government,” but this is only the opinion of a licensed Realtor. Sir, I am not certain what you do for a living (I asked a few individuals and no one really knows what your past/current occupation is other than, as you stated in a previous council meeting, “you have a job and your Senate role is a part time position because you have to make a living for your family”) but I take my jobs very seriously. In my seven years in real estate, I have never encountered this issue because, as a Realtor, my fiduciary obligation is to both parties (landlord and tenant) and I jeopardize/risk my license if I indulge in unlawful behavior. Nonetheless, I thank you for “closing this loophole” and creating new/more legislation to protect the public.

My statement “let us not forget the horrific past when individuals were rounded up and data was collected on them – the purpose of that data collection was for the extermination of a race.” is NO typo on my part. I am not alluding, I’m stating historical facts. For one moment, omit the Jewish massacre and consider the Rwanda genocide. During our lifetime (in 1994), it is estimated that over 500,000 people were killed in Rwanda. This exacerbated ethnic (Hutu and Tutsi peoples) division and tensions caused a civil war amongst these East African people. This divide between the Tutsi and the Hutu was created by the Belgium colonialist. The Belgians “gathered data,” classified individuals and introduced separate ID cards for the two tribes.

Consider for one second what your “data collection legislation” is doing or could potentially do to the people of Arizona? Mind you, the Rwanda data collection was gathered many years before the civil war and all of these African people lived in the same area, breathed the same air, lived under the same sky, lived as neighbors, frequented the same parks, roads and streets. The seeds of hatred were planted by colonialist (the “government”) years before.

You mention that the data collected “will help identify how many illegal aliens are taking advantage of free public benefits in our state and how much that is costing we the taxpayer (estimates show that Arizona spends approximately $2 billion per year on this).” Once again, I ask… what will this prove? Are you proposing to bill the federal government for this $2 billion? This is preposterous! Good luck in collecting on that invoice!
