Deputy Cadet Danny Tabor is excited about his new position with PCSO and said he looks forward to his future with the department.

“I’m hoping to call Pinal County my home for several years to come,” Cadet Tabor said. He lives in Maricopa with his wife of 10 years and three children, ages 7, 5 and 3.

Cadet Tabor started his law enforcement career in 2001 with the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho. He served two years working in detention and transports before accepting a position on patrol with the Caldwell Police Department in Caldwell, Idaho. During his three years with Caldwell PD, Cadet Tabor served as a patrol officer, traffic enforcement officer and special investigator.

“The highlight of my career was working as a special investigator with the street crimes unit (gang unit) for one and a half years,” Cadet Tabor said. “We essentially conducted investigations and built cases against numerous violent repeat offenders, violent street gang members and street level narcotic distributors.”

Cadet Tabor relocated to Arizona in March 2008 and, after shopping around at numerous police departments, made the decision to join PCSO.

“After looking into the Sheriff’s Office and asking around about it, I learned that PCSO holds a very good reputation with the community and with the local police departments,” he explained. “I wanted to join a professional law enforcement agency with a good reputation that held the public’s trust and employed loyal people who have a high degree of integrity and ethics. I think I have made the right decision.”

During his tenure with PCSO, Cadet Tabor said he will dedicate himself to serving the citizens of Pinal County.

“My goal with PCSO at this point is to just get AZ certified. I’m very nervous to go through a second academy,” he noted.
