McDonald’s set to open next week

Maricopans won’t have to wait much longer to taste a 99-cent double cheeseburger. That’s because the new McDonald’s will be open by the end of next week.

“We are working our butts off to get it open by the end of next week and I don’t see anything that will prevent that,” said one of the store’s owners, Michelle Slayton.

The Maricopa McDonald’s will feature a treehouse playland in addition to offering café espresso drinks.

“When we designed the store we tried to take into account the things the community of Maricopa was lacking,” Slayton said.

The new restaurant is completely staffed and is just waiting for the construction crew to finish up some minor details.

“We can’t wait to open,” Slayton said.
