MOM (Mobile Onsite Mammography) coming to Maricopa

82

Mobile Onsite Mammography (MOM) is bringing service to Maricopa for the first time on Monday, Jan. 28, in conjunction with the City of Maricopa.

An experienced staff of professionals operates the mobile unit, which provides high quality mammography imaging through the latest technology.

Baseline mammograms begin at age 35-39; patients under age 35 must have a doctor’s referral. Implant patients can only be accommodated at the Tempe MOM location.

Most insurance plans cover women over 40 for an annual mammogram. Non-insured patients will pay $138, which includes the radiologist’s reading. An R-2 computerized reading is an additional $28. Patients should consult their insurance plan for coverage.

Appointments will be scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 28. To make an appointment, call (480) 967-3767 and have your insurance card readily available.

Information you need on the day of your appointment will include: your insurance card, your doctor’s name and address as well as the location of your last mammogram.
