The Maricopa Police Department has announced Officer Joseph McCabe has been selected by his supervisors to receive the Officer of the Year Award.
The award is given through the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12043 in Maricopa. McCabe received his award during a ceremony Saturday at the VFW in Apache Junction.
McCabe was nominated in July by his supervisor, Sgt. Leonard Perez, for outstanding performance exemplifying his dedication to duty and consistent superior achievement.
