On Dec. 26 at approximately 4:30 a.m., City of Maricopa police responded to the 44000 block of West Woody Road on a suspicious activity complaint.

Officers responding to the scene observed spent shell casings in the road in front of the location and upon further investigation observed what appeared to be bullet holes in the exterior walls near the front entrance of the residence.

While inside the residence, officers located a subject identified as 51-year-old Kenneth Moore of Maricopa.

Moore was detained and held for further investigation. No other subjects were inside the residence. After locating Moore, officers secured a search warrant for the premises.

Officers then found a potential victim in a nearby residence. According to the victim, the incident stemmed from an earlier domestic disturbance at the original residence that resulted in shots fired between Moore and Keylon L. Ross Jr.

Ross was apprehended a short time later at his residence in the 45000 block of West Desert Garden Road.
