New GM at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort

Robert Livingston has been named vice president and general manager of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort.

The longtime Caesars Entertainment executive served most recently as assistant general manager at Harrah’s Rincon near San Diego, where he led a major expansion of that property. During his time at Rincon, the property was honored as one of San Diego’s “Best Places to Work” by the Society of Human Resources Management, and was also recognized for “Best Service” by Casino Player Magazine.

Livingston earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accountancy from the University of Mississippi. During his 20-year career with Caesars, Livingston has held a number of positions, including director of finance for Harrah’s Vicksburg, Miss. property. He started his career as a planning and analysis manager for Caesars corporate office and other properties in the south.

A native of Oxford, Miss., Livingston resides in Ahwatukee, where he enjoys playing basketball, softball and golf. He is an avid fan of college football.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin was named a 2010 Most Admired Company by Arizona Business Magazine and BestCompaniesAZ, and Phoenix Business Journal named the property one of the “Best Places to Work in the Valley” in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin also ranked highest in gaming customer satisfaction among casinos in southern Arizona in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2009 Indian Gaming Casino Satisfaction Study.
