Maricopa’s first Little Caesars celebrated its grand opening today and dozens of Maricopa residents were on hand to partake in the events.

“This is a great thing for Maricopa, surrounding businesses and the economy,” said Maricopa resident Gary Steele.

The store opened at 10 a.m. with a official ribbon cutting ceremony at 20800 N. John Wayne Parkway. A mobile pizza station set up in the parking lot was part of the festivities.

The mobile station will be serving pepperoni pizza for the next six days to handle the expected demand at Maricopa’s newest pizza franchise.

“Many think of this as just another pizza place, but their product tastes great and you can’t beat the price,” said Maricopa resident Katherine Oldham.

In addition to pizza, store employees handed out raffle tickets for an Xbox 360 give away.

Promotions will take place over the next six days: Thursday a free doll will be given away with each purchased pizza, Friday a drawing for an iPod, Saturday a chance to meet Caesarman, Sunday free baseball caps with any purchase, Monday free Crazy Bread with any purchase and Tuesday a chance to win a Nintendo DSI.
