Oasis Life Church program for kids should be a splash

Children for the first time will have the chance to be part of KidSplash, the children’s ministry of Oasis Life Church’s summer Kids Kamp. The event runs July 30 through Aug. 3. The theme this year is WaterWorks!

WaterWorks! Park Kamp (the Oasis version of Vacation Bible School) is a free theme park located right at Oasis. Children from age three to fifth grade completed are invited to attend.

Each day kids will visit attractions like Splash-tacular! for music and Bible memory, Raging River for games, Bible Bay for story dramas and the Gift and Souvenir Shop for crafts and snacks.

“Kids Kamp came about as a way to reach the kids in our community,” Pastor Susan Hull said. “My main goal for the week is showing the kids the love of Christ and to have a lot of fun.”

Hull said there are 30 kids pre-registered so far, but the hope is 90 will attend.

“Our Kamp is open to all,” Hull said. “We have families from our team coming in from outside Maricopa.”

The Kamp will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Friday.
