Orbitel adds MLB Network; Dunn joins management team

The MLB Network has been added to Orbitel Communications’ channel lineup. The all-baseball network, which debuted in January, is on channel 143 and in high-definition on channel 943.

“Orbitel is always looking to add channels our customers will enjoy,” said Orbitel President and CEO Keith Kirkman in a statement. “The MLB Network has outstanding programming for baseball fans of all ages and interests.”

Orbitel also announced Cindy Dunn has joined its management team. Dunn, a longtime community and business leader, will assist the company in strategic marketing, community relations and television advertising, including Orbitel’s latest venture of selling local commercials on 24 stations.

“Having the right person in the right position is key to moving any company forward,” Kirkman said. “Cindy has strong ties to the community and unique insight into our local market. We look forward to her bringing her expertise and leadership to our team.”

Dunn will also help relaunch local TV station Maricopa Six later this spring. The station will begin offering local announcements and calendar items and eventually will be able to air local programming provided by the community and non-profit organizations.
