No one was injured in a kitchen fire Tuesday.

At about 4 p.m., Maricopa Fire and Medical Department responded to a report of a kitchen fire at a home on the 43000 block of West Kimberly Street in Senita.

“Crews arrived on the scene and quickly contained the fire quickly before it spread to other parts of the house,” said a city statement.

The caller reported the smoke detectors in the home were activated, and when they went to investigate, they found flames erupting from their stove, according to the statement.

The caller and their pet dog got out of the home with no injuries.

Maricopa Fire & Medical Department is investigating the fire.
