Pinal County Superior Courthouse in Florence is joining courts across the country and opening its doors during National Adoption Month to finalize adoptions of children from foster care and to celebrate all families that adopt.
Nov. 2 marks the second year Pinal County has participated in National Adoption Month. Five Superior Court judges, staff and nearly 50 volunteers will be there to support 47 families who will be adopting 66 children during this special event.
Adoptions will begin at 8:30 a.m. A celebration and balloon launch will be held on the courthouse steps at approximately 11:15 a.m.
Pinal County Adoption Day has been planned by a coalition of partners including – Pinal County Juvenile Court Services, and its Community Advisory Board, Pinal Council for CASA/Foster, Pinal County Attorney’s Office, Child Protective Services, Arizona Office of the Attorney General, Clerk of the Superior Court Office, Pinal County Superior Court as well as contract and private attorneys.
