Should Maricopa police release the names of all minors arrested?
A strong majority of readers, 228, responding to InMaricopa’s weekly poll question agree that all criminal suspects, regardless of age, should be held to the same standards.
“If they choose to play stupid games, they deserve to win stupid prizes,” said reader Amy Michelle.
Those who said minors deserve total anonymity totaled 74.
Depends on the crime committed,” said reader Jamie Morano. “Theft, burglary, and any kind of harm, absolutely, because in these crimes there is either a victim or potential victim.”
Of the 418 poll responses, 56 said “It’s the parents’ fault. Forget the kids, released the parents’ names.”
“Better yet, post the names of the parents and damage this darling thief just committed,” reader Terry Clark said.
