Rancho El Dorado holds Second Annual Social

Residents of Rancho El Dorado have a lot to celebrate, and it showed on their faces and was heard in their laughter Saturday at RED’s Second Annual Social.

Children screeched with joy as they jumped in the bouncy castle; others yelled challenges at each other as they climbed the ladders and ropes of the giant, inflated obstacle course. Kids were dashing everywhere as their parents, families and neighbors mingled.

RED residents had hours of free snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, bratwursts, face painting and great raffle prizes.

Raffle prizes of $50 American Express and $25 Visa cards, gift certificates for hair and beauty treatments, gift baskets of pet treats and candles, tools and auto anti-theft devices were just some of the dozens of prizes awarded.

All of the food and prizes were the result of the generous donations of Ranch El Dorado’s Homeowners Association, its vendors, its community volunteers and the business community of Maricopa.

Representatives from the city’s police and fire departments were in attendance. Children lined up to board the fire truck and to talk with their heroes.

The event provided RED residents the opportunity to meet board of director candidates. Incumbent Suzie Rotter, who headed up production of the new RED quarterly magazine, and candidate Stephen T. White were busy meeting residents before votes are cast at the HOA’s annual meeting and election, scheduled for November 17.

RED’s Second Annual Social’s success was a testament to the hard work and ingenuity of the RED-HOA Board Treasurer Jack Moliere and his team of volunteers.
