Re: Rebuttal to Ben Stermer guest column.
To those of you concerned, fortunately, I neither consider myself MORE nor LESS important than anyone else.
What is good about that is I am free to offer an opinion and not feel intimidated or superior. If a policy or action by one's ELECTED official is misguided, then one has an obligation to share one's view.
Our president is certainly getting his ear full. However, the fact that some of you concentrated your comments on the fence makes it clear that you missed my entire point. As a 20-year Air Force veteran having served both during the Vietnam and Desert Storm eras, I really get the whole secure-our-borders issue and support any reasonable and realistic efforts to do so.
