DUI enforcement set for St. Pat’s Day, Salsa Festival

The Maricopa Police Department will engage in DUI saturation patrols Friday and Saturday as part of the Pinal County Regional DUI Task Force.

Efforts will be directed at detecting and arresting drivers impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. Several officers with specialized training in DUI detection will be assigned to work these enforcement details around the county.

The saturation patrols will begin each night and run until the early morning hours.

DUI saturation patrols will also be conducted throughout the community during the weekend of the Salsa Festival. The patrols ware scheduled for March 30 and 31.

Being over the “legal limit” means consuming any amount of alcohol or drugs that impairs driving.
