Senate hopeful needs help naming RV

When it comes to making up names for things, people often think of their children or pets, but U.S. Senate hopeful Rodney Glassman is taking it to another level.

Glassman, who hopes to unseat incumbent John McCain in November, is hosting a contest to allow citizens to name the campaign RV in which he is touring the state.

“The name of our campaign RV is very important to us,” Glassman said. “Our RV will bring us to where you live and work, connecting us directly to you. We want our RV to have a name that embodies the spirit of Arizona and the culture of our campaign.”

Submissions for the contest are due May 7, and voting on the best name will begin May 10.

The selected name will appear on the front of the bus, just above the window and the top three finishers in the contest will all receive a prize.

1st prize:
Air travel and five nights stay to attend Netroots Nation in Las Vegas in July where the Glassman RV that you named will be appearing.
2nd prize:
Dinner for two at the Maverick Restaurant in Tucson, AZ or a chance to ice skate and play hockey against Glassman, a former IceCat himself.
3rd prize:
An assortment of “Glassman for U.S. Senate” gear suitable for wearing to the rink, the bowling alley or for just lounging by the pool.
