Discover the culture of the Pima and Maricopa tribes, see the night sky during the Geminids meteor shower and enjoy an evening of storytelling, artisans and science on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa.

Listen to celebrated stories from the ancient cultures of the Pima and Maricopa tribes, told by Tim Terry, honored “Storytelling and Song” program host. Other activities include the following:

· Take a tour of the night sky, led by Arizona Science Center Dorrance Planetarium staff
· Check out the night sky through telescopes provided by the East Valley Astronomy Club
· Discover the ancient connections between stars and local tribes
· Explore hands-on astronomy activities
· Interact with cultural artisans as they share their arts and crafts
