Babeu to speak at Maricopa Republican Club

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, who recently announced his bid for U.S. Congress, will be the guest speaker at the January meeting of the Maricopa Republican Club.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the clubhouse at The Villages at Rancho El Dorado.

Babeu has become a national figure on border issues over the past few years. Because of his success capturing drug runners and other law breakers, he was named Sheriff of the Year from the National Sheriff’s Association in 2010.
