A Stanfield man already facing a variety of charges in an alleged assault Tuesday has now additionally been charged with sexual abuse.

Mario Patino, 30, was taken into custody by Pinal County Sheriff’s Office near the junction of State Route 347 and Farrell Road.

He was accused of threatening or intimidating through injury or damage, aggravated assault (impeding breath or blood flow) and fighting or disruptive behavior (domestic violence).

He was booked at the Pinal County Adult Detention Center. He had an initial appearance Wednesday before Judge Lyle Riggs in the Maricopa/Stanfield Justice Court and had a $1,000 secured bond on the domestic violence charge but no bond on other charges and remains in custody.
