Maricopa residents looking for solutions to traffic on State Route 347 can voice their opinions during an Arizona State Transportation Board meeting held 9 a.m. on Friday.

Among the long list of state-wide projects is a new project request by the Priority Planning Advisory Committee for transportation construction in Maricopa along SR 347. This includes a proposal to add an additional northbound lane on SR 347, repair pavement in both directions and widen the intersection of SR 347 and Cobblestone/Lakeview Drive.

The request is anticipated to cost $6.2 million.

The meeting will be hosted at the Town of Gilbert Town Hall Council Chambers but will be live streamed via WebEx. The agenda and link can be found online.

Maricopa residents looking to speak about the project or any other item on the 197-page agenda must complete a comment form by 8 a.m. Friday. Commenters are limited to three minutes of speaking during a call to the audience.
