Sun Devil Pool Supply will ‘hope for the best’ to stay open

Another Maricopa business could be heading out of town.

Sun Devil Pool Supply, 21101 N. John Wayne Parkway, has closed its storefront location but is still offering service calls for the time being.

“We are trying to negotiate a lower rent with the landlord, but if it doesn’t happen in the next few weeks, we will be gone for good,” said Chris Umberger, manager of the store.

While the company continues to negotiate, their Maricopa phone number will remain active for those needing service calls.

“We are still going to be active for the time being and hope for the best,” Umberger said.

Sun Devil has several Valley locations. If the Maricopa store shuts down, those branches will still service customers in the city.
