T-Mobile takes over from Alltel

Customers of the Maricopa Alltel store may get a surprise on their next visit; the retailer has changed brands is now a T-Mobile dealership.

“The owners of the company decided to switch from the Alltel to the T-Mobile brand when Alltel was sold to Verizon,” said Store Manager Scott Anthony.

The T-Mobile retailer, Anthony said, has seven stores in Arizona and another 48 across the nation. “They are growing fast and hope to have 100 stores open at year’s end.”

The Maricopa T-Mobile store is a limited exclusive retailer, which means it handles all T-Mobile-related services except insurance claims.

A grand opening will be held July 23 to celebrate the name change.
