“The Goonies” is up next for Movies at the Park

The ’80s in ’08 Movies in the Park sponsored by the Maricopa Community Services Department continues at dusk Saturday at Pacana Park with the showing of “The Goonies.”

“The Goonies” is an action-adventure movie released in 1985 about two brothers who discover that greedy developers are forcing their family to move.

However, the brothers and their friends discover a treasure map and set out on one last adventure to save their home.

Admission is free for the movie which will likely begin at about 7 p.m. Vendors will sell beverages and small snacks throughout the night.

Movies in the Park will continue through Sept. 13.
