To the citizens of Maricopa (concerning Stagecoach Days)

After exhaustive efforts promoting the Maricopa Stagecoach Days Parade (originally scheduled for Oct. 9), utilizing my own personal money, time, and efforts, I was unable to get approval at the city council meeting Sept. 21 to host the parade.

I was 30 minutes late to the meeting due to circumstances beyond my control, and the city council turned down my petition for approval for the parade. I was unable to be heard that night.

Their decline was still no match for my vision, passion, enthusiasm and determination to peruse this to the end. I was very disappointed with the outcome as I had such overwhelming support from businesses and members of the community of Mariciopa

It was to be the kickoff celebration for the Stagecoach Days Weekend!
