A vehicle ended up in a Province lake Saturday night.

Just after 9:20 p.m., Maricopa police and fire crews responded to Province Parkway and West Friendly Place on a report of a vehicle in a lake, according to city spokesperson Monica Williams.

“Both passengers were out of the vehicle by the time first responders arrived,” Williams said.

The passengers were checked over by paramedics on the scene but were not transported to a hospital.

Maricopa police are investigating the incident.
