Lt. Willie Payne will appeal his termination from the Maricopa Police Department at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 30.
Payne was terminated Oct. 10 after being placed on paid administrative leave July 1. The city has not said why Payne was terminated.
Payne’s hearing is open to the public and will take place in front of the city's Merit Board in a court-like proceeding at the Maricopa Unified School District conference room, 44150 West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.
