With nearly a dozen new businesses slated to open along Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway over the next couple years, Maricopans made it known over which they’re salivating.
Buffalo Wild Wings took the top spot in a recent InMaricopa poll asking readers which of 10 restaurants and retail businesses they’re most looking forward to patronizing on the city’s east side. The sports bar took more than 1/3 of the total votes. Maybe a sneak peek at those design deets helped.
And despite what the comments suggest, Maricopa residents aren’t quite tired of Mexican food. A little more than 1/4 of the respondents said they were looking forward to dining at Someburros, which is planned for a parcel on the northwest corner of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Stonegate Road, a stone’s throw from Home Depot.
Jason Klohk was among the one in seven readers who were excited for the upcoming Riverside, Calif.-based burger joint Farmer Boys.
“Farmer Boys is really good. It’s not the typical fast food restaurant,” he said.
And, to prove not every option was a new restaurant, 10% of respondents said they were looking forward to the opening of the 75,000-square-foot Rush Funplex. That one promises bowling, bumper cars and climbing walls in an empty parcel immediately west of Tractor Supply Co.

“A gas station! On MCGH! That’s a win right there,” said Senita resident Kevin Martin.
