A power outage Monday, caused by an excavator clipping a powerline on North Green Road, affected the Electrical District No. 3 Farrell Substation and left some customers in the Hidden Valley area without power.

According to ED3, more than 750 homes served by the substation experienced outages, most of which lasted about 15 minutes. All homes had power restored within the hour, an ED3 spokesperson said.

Crews remained on the scene into early afternoon and the incident remains under investigation, according to ED3.
